Visa & Entry Requirements

The below information and several other data has been made available from the Qatar Government Online site - Hukoomi

Visa & Entry Requirements

You will need a visa to visit Qatar unless you are a national of a GCC state.

Visas are issued at border points for the nationals of more than 33 countries. These include the USA, Canada, Iceland, European Union member countries, some East European countries, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Brunei, Australia and New Zealand.

If visiting Qatar on business and a national of a country for which visas are not issued at border points, you will need to get a visa prior to starting your journey.

Visitors on a tourist visa must enter on Qatar Airways.

The passport section at Doha International Airport can issue renewable 14-day tourist visas within 24 hours for all visitors to Qatar except those who are travel document holders. If you are a travel document holder, your next of kin should be living in Qatar and you will not need a GCC resident permit to receive a tourist visa.
